Bill McKenna - CEO & President

Bill comes to IMMI from his role as the President & CEO of KMR North America, an operating unit of the KMR Group and WPP’s Kantar Group. KMR North America’s business practice includes KMR Software, MARs, MARs Medical, IntelliQuest, Mediafax and advisor to companies where WPP has strategic media measurement investments, including IMMI.

Bill’s business career includes chief executive positions with several research companies including Mediafax, Inc., the Puerto Rico based TV Audience measurement Company Bill McKenna founded in 1988 and sold to WPP in 2001. Mediafax continues to flourish today as the leading research business operation in the Caribbean Region. Bill is an inventor and entrepreneur with several US Patents and the creator/initial developer of Arbitron’s 1980’s ScanAmerica single-source peoplemeter service.

Bill is also a retired US Navy Reserve Captain, veteran and experienced naval aviator. He holds an MBA in Marketing from Northwestern University.

Tom Zito - Co-Founder & Chairman

As the first rock critic for the Washington Post, Tom spent 15 years as a journalist before turning his attention to creating and launching technology start-ups. Over the last two decades, he has focused on creating companies that strive to create new business opportunities in their respective markets. In 1986, Tom took public AXLON, a high-tech toy company. Tom then founded Isix, another technology-driven entertainment company that was acquired by Hasbro. In addition, Tom cofounded Digital Pictures, the first company to create full-motion video games, and Garageband, one of the first online digital record labels. He coauthored a number of technology patents while at both companies.

Tom attended the NYU School of Film & Television, and graduated Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Georgetown University.

Amanda Welsh - Co-Founder & COO 

Amanda's 15 years in the technology industry cover a wide range of media related enterprises. As VP of Research for Antics Online, she provided research and strategic consulting to companies such a Capcom, PayPal, and Sun Microsystems. She cofounded Garageband Records, which uses the Internet community to test-market new music. She was head of research for Netscape's Internet initiatives and vice president of development for Digital Pictures, a developer of full motion video games. Amanda's journey of understanding and using the way people process information began with the Ph.D. in linguistics she earned from Harvard University. She is the coauthor of several patents for information gathering technology and recently wrote "The Identity Theft Protection Guide," a book about information use in the digital age—published in 2004 by St. Martin's Press.


Sheldon Rabinowitz – Chief Financial Officer

Shelly is a financial executive with extensive operational and administrative experience in media and communications. He served as Senior Vice President, Finance and Business Development for the Television Group of Gemstar-TV Guide International, Inc.  During his time there, the subscriber base doubled to nearly 80 million homes making the channel the fastest growing in the industry. He was Senior Vice President, Finance for ABC Entertainment Television Group, and prior to that, Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of TVN Entertainment a media and technology company.

During eight years at Sony Pictures Entertainment he advanced to Executive Vice President Finance of the worldwide motion picture group. Before that, he held various finance and accounting positions in both private and public companies. He began his career at the public accounting firm of Ernst & Young.

Shelly holds a B.S. in Accounting, Cum Laude from City University of New York and N.Y.S. Society of CPA’s Award of Honor.

Mark Klein – VP, Engineering

As a co-founder of Traverse Networks, Mark was responsible for the design and implementation of the company’s service delivery platform. Traverse Networks was acquired by Avaya in 2006. Mark co-founded and was the chief technology officer of eVoice, where he oversaw the design and development of the company’s national voicemail service.  eVoice was acquired by AOL in 2001. Mark co-founded WalkSoftly, an Internet security and privacy company, which was acquired by CyberMedia in 1997.

Mark has a BS in Electrical Engineering, Suma Cum Laude, from Cal Poly at Pomona, and a Master's in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

George Peterson – VP, Operations

George served as VP of Customer Success at ClearApp, Senior Vice President of Engineering, Operations and Customer Support at Five9. Prior to Five 9, Mr. Peterson was Vice President of Operations, Customer Service and Professional Services for EVault. He has held other VP positions in operations, professional services and customer support for  Affinity Internet, Bigstep,  BidCom and Harbinger-Premenos  Corporation. He also held technical roles at ATT and  Total Petroleum (CFP).

George is a graduate of Wichita State University and has degrees in Anthropology and Psychology.

Tamara Gaffney – VP, Panel Management

Prior to joining IMMI, Tamara was at Telephia (now Nielsen Mobile), one of the largest providers of syndicated consumer research to the telecom and mobile media markets where she oversaw Telephia’s Advertising Insights and Telephia Audience Metrics products. Tamara has more than 15 years of experience in marketing and advertising, working as the global audience measurement product director at Nielsen//NetRatings, in Internet marketing at Intel and in advertising management at Symantec. She began her career in advertising agencies where she spent 5 years as a media planner at Ogilvy, Mather and Goldberg Moser O’Neill Advertising.

Tamara holds a Masters in Business Administration degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Southern California.
